In this day and age working adults and kids growing up in school have become more anxious these days. I have found that only a certain amount of kids are not afraid of interacting with other people. Most kids these days are becoming to have anxiety and social awkwardness. I propose that we as a community start having all electronics to be shut down for a certain amount of time daily. This will help the future of the world by having the next generation not always being dependent on electricity and the internet. My proposal is to have electricity to be shut down for at least three to four hours a day. This will allow kids and adults to socialize and have a better relationship with others. Even better this can open new friendships to others and have people grow up knowing better of others about emotions and knowledge. This can even better our politics in the future by having politicians having a better knowledge of the people in their community. This proposal can solve our generations with anxiety or social awkwardness. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "A Modest Proposal" essay for you Create order My first reason of this proposal is it will bring in an education of a higher IQ among all kids. My second reason is to have better relationships and friendships throughout all of the community to have future generations have a better understanding of human emotions. My third reason is to create less socially awkward people and maybe even less mentally ill people that have PTSD or schizophrenia. This can help people use therapy with each other and relieve stress through interaction. My fourth and final reason is to have others grow up knowing true emotion and psychological knowledge of people helping others and letting people know them better. The urgency of this means that I have seen more and more on social media of people killing themselves or coming out of the closet as gay or bisexual and maybe even as non binary. In todays world society has been loosening up from the LGBTQ society leaving even more people to come out of the closet. But even as this is happening there are rape victims and molestation victims that havent even come out yet from what had happened to them. If what I have seen from social media this can be a fifty-fifty from ruining peoples lives and families can be worked out to become even closer than they were. In conclusion my proposal is to have more time spent without electricity and to create better relationships. My proposal can help people think faster and have better knowledge. In this way it can help people acknowledge others of their opinions and spread better ideas of technology. Even if we can just have one hour to others all alone we can become better and evolve faster than the rate we are now.

Antoine Lavoisier Antoine Lavoisier (1743-1794) Antoine-Laurent Lavoisier (lah vwah ZYAY) was one of the best-known French scientists and was an important government official. His theories of combustion, his development of a way to classify the elements and the first modern textbook of chemistry led to his being known as the father of modern chemistry. He contributed to much of the research in the field of chemistry. He is quoted for saying, Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed. He found that when the burning material combined with the air somehow and that the air weighed less. Lavoisier found that the weight of the products of combustion equals the weight of the reacting ingredients. This observation became known as the law of conservation of mass (or matter). He repeated many of the experiments of earlier chemists but interpreted the results far differently. On 1772 he was studying on combustion, which he is most known for in science. Lavoisier presented an important memoir on conversion of water into earth evaporation. This brought him to the Oxygen Theory of Combustion. On 1774 Lavoisier carried out experiments on calcinations of tin and lead and confirmed the increase of weight of metals on calcinations from combustion of air. By demonstrating the nature of combustion, he disproved the phlogiston theory. The phlogiston theory stated that all flammable materials contained a substance called phlogiston. According to this theory, materials gave off phlogiston as they burned. Air was necessary for combustion because it absorbed the phlogiston that was rel eased. This was thought at the time to be a fact. Lavoisier showed this theory to be false and made oxygen the reason that things burned, not phlogiston. Lavoisier burned textbooks that supported the theory. Hotel and Hospitality Management

Questions: 1. What do the readings mean to me as an executive, my management team, and my company? 2. What opportunities and challenges does it identify for us? 3. What changes in goals, strategies, policies, practices, and structure might it point to? 4. What connections can I make to theory / other readings? Answers: 1. The impugned article is very encouraging to me since I am an executive as well as to my management team and my company. It gives us an insight into incredible management techniques which enable a business to survive as well as reach top levels in the present times. This goal can be achieved only with the help of an able leader. It makes it evident that an able leader has the potential to turn the tables for an organization. It teaches us that even in hard phases of business if we keep our goals set and make able decisions we may get over such situations. In unfavourable circumstances also an able leader keeps calm and makes such decisions which would help the organization to excel. 2. The impugned article identifies the following challenges to us: In order to make a business last we must endeavour to make changes to it with the changing times and needs. If we stay aloof of the changing requirements of the society the business would not be able to survive. Other challenges include, managing funds, making products more and more appealing to the consumers. The opportunities which may be identified from the said reading are as follows: Franchisee based restaurants are ideal as they provide for steady cash flow and comparatively low capital investment. Providing to the customers a distinct brand which offers good food at affordable prices. 3. The impugned article sets an example for other business organizations which are undergoing a hard phase. The reading gives us an insight into the changes in policies and procedures one must adopt so as to strive in business. We must first set up an ambition and a roadmap. Once the roadmap is set the management team ought to figure out whom they would serve. Popeye had chosen the franchise owners as its first priority. Then the interest of the customers and the employees were taken care of. It was the belief of Bachelder that one must love the people they lead. Thus franchise satisfaction was one of the foremost goals of Popeye. The next goal of Popeye was to expand the business by opening up more and more restaurants so that the importance of Popeye is felt everywhere. They also aimed at having maximum number of delighted customers and employees. 4. The connections which we may draw between the said reading and theory are as follows: With proper managerial skills a business can be managed effectively and may also be made to reach heights of success. The success of a business is totally dependent on the leadership capabilities of the individuals occupying managerial positions. The theory of servant leadership has to be adopted by the leaders to achieve success like the Popeye. Servant leaders are the ones who serve others and not themselves. The foremost quality of a servant leader is to listen whereas generally leaders are into putting forth their views. They possess empathy for the co workers and the subordinates as well.

The Golden Age Of Greece The Ancient Statues And Pottery Of The Golden

The Golden Age of Greece The ancient statues and pottery of the Golden Stone Age of Greece were much advanced in spectacular ways. The true facts of Zeus's main reason for his statue. The great styles of the Kouros and the Kore. The story of The Blinding of Polphemus, along with the story of Cyclops. The Dori and Ionic column stone temples that were built in Greece that had an distinctive look. The true colors of the vase, Aryballos. The vase that carried liquids from one place to another. The Lyric Poetry that was originally a song to be sung to the accompaniment of the lyre. Zeus was considered, according to Homer, the father of the gods and of mortals. He did not create either gods or mortals; he was their father in the sense of being the protector and ruler both of the Olympian family and of the human race. He was lord of the sky, the rain god, and the cloud gatherer, who wielded the terrible thunderbolt. His breastplate was the aegis, his bird the eagle, his tree the oak. Zeus presided over the gods on Mount Olympus in Thessaly. His principal shrines were at Dodona, in Epirus, the land of the oak trees and the most ancient shrine, famous for its oracle, and at Olympia, where the Olympian Games were celebrated in his honor every fourth year. The Nemean games, held at Nemea, northwest of Argos, were also dedicated to Zeus. Zeus was the youngest son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea and the brother of the deities Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera. According to one of the ancient myths of the birth of Zeus, Cronus, fearing that he might be dethroned by one of his children, swallowed them as they were born. Upon the birth of Zeus, Rhea wrapped a stone in swaddling clothes for Cronus to swallow and concealed the infant god in Crete, where he was fed on the milk of the goat Amalthaea and reared by nymphs. When Zeus grew to maturity, he forced Cronus to disgorge the other children, who were eager to take vengeance on their father. Zeus henceforth ruled over the sky, and his brothers Poseidon and Hades were given power over the sea and the underworld, respectively. The earth was to be ruled in common by all three. Beginning with the writings of the Greek poet Homer, Zeus is pictured in two very different ways. He is represented as the god of justice and mercy, the protector of the weak, and the punisher of the wicked. As husband to his sister Hera, he is the father of Ares, the god of war; Hebe, the goddess of youth; Hephaestus, the god of fire; and Eileithyia, the goddess of childbirth. At the same time, Zeus is described as falling in love with one woman after another and resorting to all kinds of tricks to hide his infidelity from his wife. Stories of his escapades were numerous in ancient mythology, and many of his offspring were a result of his love affairs with both goddesses and mortal women. It is believed that, with the development of a sense of ethics in Greek life, the idea of a lecherous, sometimes ridiculous father god bec ame distasteful, so later legends tended to present Zeus in a more exalted light. His many affairs with mortals are sometimes explained as the wish of the early Greeks to trace their lineage to the father of the gods. Zeus's image was represented in sculptural works as a kingly, bearded figure. The most celebrated of all statues of Zeus was Phidias's gold and ivory colossus at Olympia. The standing nude youth (kouros), the standing draped girl (kore), and the seated woman. All emphasize and generalize the essential features of the human figure and show an increasingly accurate comprehension of human anatomy. The youths were either sepulchral or votive statues. Examples are Apollo (Metropolitan Museum), an early work; Strangford Apollo from L?mnos (British Museum, London), a much later work; and the Anavyssos Kouros (National Museum, Athens). More of the musculature and skeletal structure is visible in this statue than in earlier works. buy custom Oedipus the King essay The story of the King Oedipus begins when an oracle foretold that a child born to Laius, king of Thebes by his queen Jocasta, would slay his father and wed his mother. With this in mind, Laius had his sons feet riveted together and left to die in Mount Cithaeron, where a shepherd found him and handed him to his master Polybus, the King of Corinth, who took him in as his son (he was childless) (Helaine, 2005). Although he was brought up away from his father, he later encounters and unwillingly slew his father king Laius although he thought he had attacked a caravan of low-class travelers thus fulfilling the prophecy. When Oedipus arrived in Thebes, he managed to answer the riddle of thee Sphinx, and the Thebans made him their king where he ruled and married the widow of King Laius and sired many children (Helaine, 2005). After many years of success, a plague vexes the city and Kreon, the Brother of Iokaste goes to Oedipus with news from the oracle that the plague would only be lifted after the death of Laius is avenged. Oedipus in return says that, he knows the terrible fate of the Thebes and vows to find the murderer using his intelligence, but when Tiresias confronted him with the truth, Oedipus is blid to it (Helaine, 2005). This shows us what kind of ruler Oedipus is; that Oedipus was intentionally choosing what to believe as true and what to say is false according to be benefits, and if the issue was going to affect him and his Kingdom. Tiresias was a blind seer who was trusted and respected by all people as upheld by his introduction as the holy prophet in who alone of all men truth was born. Upon telling Oedipicus the hard truth, Tiresias is shunned, his credibility and motives attacked and finally accused of plotting against the King and helping Kreon become King (Helaine, 2005). In response to these accusations which the people believed, Tiresias tells Oedipus that he was blind even though he had two eyes to the wretchedness of his life and the wrongs that he had done to the people, the earth and the world below. The use of blindness is used to call to attention the fact that Oedipus could not see the truth about himself and his past, even though he had eyes, and that it took a blind man Teresias to show him the real truth and overcome his blindness. Teiresias goes ahead to say to Oedipus, the double lash of your parents curse wiill whip you. Out of this land someday with only night upon your precious eyes (Helaine, 2005). It was not until the shepherd gave his confession of how he saved a boy and took him to his King that Oedipus was filled with grief and guilt upon realizing the truth that the prophecy came to pass. Oedipus blinds himself and goes on to live in exile where he died in the wild hills of Kithairon. This is where his parents had intended for him without his family or daughters who he had ashamed and brought destruction to. Finally Oedipicus physically blinds himself on seeing his dead mother and is the cause of his own exile, which is complete irony since when he had the eyes, he could not see the truth yet now that he does not have them he ca clearly see the truth. The story of Oedipicus shows us that, having good eyesight does not necessarily mean that one can see and understand situations, but it takes an open mind, logic and proper analysis of the facts to know the correct truth. Blindness is used as irony in the story to bring out the magnitude of Oedipicus errors and diversion from the truth yet all along he knew what he had done, who his father was and what the oracle had said about the prophecy.. Final proof for doc sum - Essay Example express God’s essential nature.1 This doctrinal summary is a brief overview of the doctrine of the Trinity; God’s nature, perfections, and attributes; and, God’s Decree. The doctrine of the Trinity can be described as, God existing in one essence, with three persons or members of the same substance. At the same time, there is no division of the substance; each member is identical in deity and substance. The Triune God of the Bible exists in one essence with three distinct members of the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Godhead is the same in substance; however, throughout dispensational periods of the Bible, specific distinctions of members of the Godhead were seen to accomplish God’s will. Christian doctrine of the Trinity did not emerge from the philosophical speculation about God.2 Simple logic and reasoning play no role in the Trinity doctrine. Scriptures in the Bible teach the Trinity implicitly. This summary will show a brief overview of monotheistic elements in Trinitarian belief. Furthermore, Scriptures referring to the three members of the Godhead, as well as their individual distinctions will be discussed. Monotheism or unity is the foundation of the trinity doctrine. Deuteronomy 6:4, â€Å"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one† known as the ‘shema’ thereby rules out any belief in polytheism, because during this time many worshiped multiple so called Gods. However, in the New Testament, we see evidence of the three members implicitly in Scripture: (1 Peter 1:2), â€Å"who have chosen according to the foreknowledge of the Father, through the Sanctifying work of the Spirit, for the obedience to Jesus Christ and the sprinkling by his blood.†3 This particular Scripture shows the three members of the Godhead. The Trinity is a perfect union, with balance of authority and love without imperfections. We will now investigate some of God’s attributes/ perfections. Understanding the basic concept of the Trinity
